About Caleffi

The production plant in Borgomanero, located in the province of Novara, has implemented UTwin as the central platform for managing BIM models and collaboration among designers. The BIM models, already created through building scans, were directly uploaded to the UTwin platform with a plug & play approach, totaling approximately 45 models. UTwin is primarily used to support collaboration among designers working on the layout of production lines, facilitating planning for re-layout activities and updating models based on plant modifications, with a history of comments and activities visible directly on the 3D model. Additionally, the UTwin platform is used as a document repository for the centralized management of all documents related to the facility.
