INNOVATION CENTER

The Innovation center is the Lavazza Research & Development department, where this passion lives. A group of experts active in three sectors: research and selection of coffee raw materials, machines and systems, materials and packaging. The department is a real incubator of innovative ideas, in fact it is equipped with an internal Patent Office, dedicated to protecting the solutions developed in the three areas of competence. The external and internal spaces (more than 4 thousand square meters of laboratories, classrooms and offices) were built by applying the "Coordinated Architecture Guidelines" that the group has recently adopted, according to the principles of sustainability, transparency, flexibility and comfort. The new center of competence, where a hundred employees will work permanently, will accommodate three directions: Research and Development; Design and Engineering of machines and systems; and Training Center, the center of training and dissemination of Italian espresso culture in the world.
